As you have probably seen elsewhere on Photography 24/7 I challenged myself to carry a point and shoot throughout the month of August in my August Snaps project.
The thumbnail image above (click it to enlarge it) is an outtake from my August Snaps project and is an abstract – or an extract to use Ansel Adam’s expression – of a palm leaf photographed up against the blue sky while applying camera shake during the exposure in order to achieve the blurrred, somewhat dreamy look.
I find it creatively inspiring to have a point and shoot camera at the ready at all times. So if you want to get the creative juices flowing and would like to spoil yourself today, I’d encourage you to hop over to Amazon and take a closer look at the deals on the Panasonic Lumix range before they sell out.
Note: for some strange reason only known to Amazon you have to add the cameras to your shopping cart to see the prices, but you can always just delete them from the cart again if you don’t want to purchase the model you are looking at. A totally ridiculous way to try to ‘force’ users closer to a making a purchase if you ask me! Amazon likens it to having to ask a salesperson in a physical store about the price. Hmmm, but hey Amazon, aren’t you the epitome of an online store, so why? I just don’t get it, but anyway… suffice to say, that prices do look attractive.
