“I wanted to focus on the flamingos’ “human” expressions and body language. I’m wondering if it was a mistake to crop at the knee joints, which I know is generally a no-no, but I liked the angled composition of the 2 animals together, and including the entire body of the dominant subject in my opinion negated the “humanistic” effect.” -Karen Tate

Weekly Photo Critique No. 2 – “We Recycle!”

This image titled “We Recycle!” was submitted by Parker Mayberry, citizen of the world. I’m not sure if Parker is a beginning photographer, intermediate or advanced photographer. I’m not sure if this image has any particular meaning to Parker, or indeed what camera settings were used to capture this image. Does it matter? Not really. Having the background information is often helpful, sure, but at the end of the day it is really all about the image. So let’s jump right in.
