“Leaves and Wall.”
As I planned my day today I knew I was going to make a second attempt at this image. I had photographed this particular scene when I made “Penny’s Picture” on the 3 August. Since I returned to the same location today I thought I would have another go as I really like the textures and the red and green colours in this scene.

I made five different variations on the scene and in the end it was a choice between this and a horizontal composition. I chose the vertical version because I like the variation in the top half of the wall between right and left and this didn’t show in the horizontal version.
I used onOne Software’s PhotoFrame 4 Pro Edition plugin to create the frame around the photo. You can get 20% off PhotoFrame 4 Pro Edition by using the coupon 24SEVEN during the check out process when you purchase plugins over at onOne Software.
Today result in a total of just 27 images.

Like the patina on the wall and the contrast of the clean, green leaves.
Those frames are growing on me…

Love the texture in that wall! The vertical works for me.
Saw your comment that I need to get a P&S:) I definitely do. Just need to decide which one and make the purchase. I shoot Nikon so thinking I will stick with that brand. Definitely have not been good about taking the SLR with me everywhere this month. I find myself making time to go out and shoot with it instead. Normally I go to a location I found while I was out and about but without camera. Maybe some day soon I will break down and get one.

Thanks so much for your kind words Mike and Barb. I appreciate it.
Sorry Barb, but I couldn’t help push the P&S subject
.
Before this August Snaps Project I would also decide on a specific location and then go there at a specific time (usually early morning or late afternoon or evening). This is how I usually photograph. However I really wanted to try to carry a camera with me more ‘religiously’ and now we will see if I can keep it up after August.
